Cengage Learning Engages North Idaho College and Northwest Phi Theta Kappa Students in Forums on Student Success
Discussions to address issues including job skills, making connections and digital learning tools
Coeur d’Alene, ID – October 20, 2014 –Cengage Learning, a global education company, will be on campus to speak with students from North Idaho College (NIC) and members of the Northwest Phi Theta Kappa organization to better understand issues facing today’s community college students and to discuss student success. Events will be held at North Idaho College’s Student Union on Friday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25th.

What: Cengage Learning student forums open to all Northwest Idaho College students and members of the Northwest Phi Theta Kappa organization. Forums will provide an opportunity to discuss student success and solutions available to support NIC and Northwest Phi Theta Kappa students. Cengage Learning will be set up in the NIC student union and will be providing digital demos with giveaways in-between sessions.
When: Session 1 (NIC students): Friday, October 24 – 11:00 a.m.
Session 2(NIC students): Friday, October 24 – 1:00 p.m.
Session 3 (PTK students): Saturday, October 25 – 11:45 a.m.
Where: Edminster Student Union building, Driftwood Bayroom on the main level
Why: Cengage Learning’s student-focused forums are intended to provide support for students and give them a platform to engage in discussions about issues that are impacting their success. Through these conversations and the insights gleaned, Cengage Learning is better able to inform product development and work closely with students to ensure that their voice is heard in the process.
