Milady Partners With Great Clips, Inc. to Deliver Cosmetology Education
Milady, part of Cengage Learning and a leading provider of beauty and wellness learning solutions, and Great Clips, Inc., the largest single-brand salon in North America, today announced a partnership to deliver twelve new business and communication skills classes to cosmetology students throughout the country.
Partnering institutions with cosmetology programs throughout North America are being offered these classes as part of an ongoing effort by Milady and Great Clips to support cosmetology education. Milady has provided the industry with superior educational and business training resources for more than 80 years and through this new partnership, Milady’s trusted course content will be taught by salon owners, general managers, managers and stylists from Great Clips franchises. These salon professionals-turned-instructors are conducting the classes in various schools near Great Clips salons throughout the United States and Canada at no cost throughout 2010.
The classes are 60-90 minute presentations offered monthly by the franchisee to the school. The topics covered in the courses range from soft skills such as tips for team building and developing professional client relations, to business skills such as ways to increase add-on service sales and profits without adding clients.
